Reggae artiste found dead in Dominca

Dominican reggae artiste Nelly Rafoul, who uses the stage name “Nelly Stharre”, in the parish of Saint Paul, Dominica yesterday.

She was 41 years old.

It has been confirmed that Stharre’s burnt remains were among two bodies discovered.

Stharre who is Rastafarian was married to a Jamaican national with whom she has children. She also lived in Kingston, Jamaica for several years.

With many reggae songs in both French and English, Stharre’s has been recording for over 20 years.

Some of her notable albums include Rain Jah, Wake Up! and Soul Country.
