The 95th Miss America contest is set to start on Sept 13 in the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Seven judges will be screening the contestants based on skills, abilities and physical appearance. The Organization that holds this competition works towards women advancement, celebrating the strong, smart women of today. The organization is also a dedicated education advocate and works towards promoting the cause unanimously.
The question is how efficiently the Miss America competition has succeeded in offering the benefits promised to the woman of today! What has the competition achieved in its 95 years history and what is expected of it in future?

I have to agree with Master Blaster on this one. Although these kind of competitions can be fun. Making it such a large event based on picking the "best" girl based on a few talents and just the plain "hot or not" from a bunch of judges. I'm not saying to stop these things because they can be fun and can be a cool way for places across the country to show some home pride, but there probably should be a less sexist approach thought up for future competitions.

I get really excited watching the Miss American pageant. I have picked my two favorite ladies and I hope one of the two will bring home the crown. I am pulling for Daja Dial from South Carolina. She can really sing very nicely. Her platform is on Type I and Type II Diabetes. My other favorite is from the State of Washington Lizza Jackson. She got a really cool jazzy vocal song that is really nice. Her platform is called Community through Mentorship. Both ladies are very classy, elegant and I wish them both success if they win or not.
