2020 Olympic Organizing Committee Face Yet Another Blow

The 2020 Olympics set to be held in Tokyo, continue its shaken journey with the organizing committee facing yet another embarrassment dose when the new Olympic logo unveiled in July this year,  immediately facing a legal case of bearing resemblance to a design created by a Belgian designer for Theater de Liege in 2011. Even though initially the committee argued on keeping the selected logo however recently the organizing committee hastily has dropped the logo and is looking for other options.
Also prior to this the blueprint of a futuristic stadium  aimed as being  the main centre of the event was scratched off by the government, as the estimated cost of building the stadium  (£1.3 billion) was considered as being very high and accordingly new designs are being looked into.

SerenaThis batting performance by the West Indies in the second innings blew me away. I kept closing my eyes and then rubbing and opening them again and sat transfixed as I watch that unbelievable partnership between John Campbell and Shai Hope. What a magnificent performance by these two! It just goes to show that patience, determination and effort can go a long way to improve the performances of the West Indies team. Let us hope that this effort by West Indies batsmen would not be a one-off performance, but will be the beginning of a renewed effort to improve the performances of the team, going forward.(13.10.2025, 10:28)(10:28)0
