WASHINGTON — Donald Trump plans to sign a pledge not to run on a third-party line if he loses the Republican presidential primary, Politico reported Thursday, citing a “close associate†of Trump.
Trump, who is leading the polls, gave GOP party leaders jitters when he was the only candidate at last month’s Fox News debate who wouldn’t make such a commitment.
Since then, some early primary states and the Republican National Committee have begun pushing candidates to sign a pledge.
“He’s been treated fairly, like any candidate. … And it takes away a line of attack for debates,†the source told the news outlet.
Trump has previously ruled out signing such a pledge as an insurance policy to make sure he gets treated fairly during the primary process.
Republicans worry that if Trump were to run, or even self-finance, a third-party run were he to lose the GOP nomination, it could hand the election to the Democrats.
Trump will meet with the head of the RNC, Reince Priebus, at Trump Tower today, shortly before he plans to address the media.
Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, said the pledge wasn’t a done deal.
“I don’t think you can ‘expect’ anything from Mr. Trump,†he said.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

I'm a pretty big democrat, so Trump running a third party is almost a dream come true for me. Though his refusal does bring up the question of whether or no his whole campaign was just a that his old friend Bill Clinton put him up to. It may sound far fetched, but I've read some stuff around the internet that seems somewhat convincing that says that Trump, whether he knows it or not, is a part of a bigger scheme to split up the GOP for next year's election and causing conservative America to lose power. I'm not sure I believe any of it yet, but it is pretty interesting and seems to be predicting events pretty accurately. Go check out more it if anyone is interested.

I don't think Trump will do it. Donald Trump is too selfish for that and he cannot be trusted.
