Canadian officials disputed claims their government denied a sponsored refugee application for the family of two Syrian boys found drowned on a Turkish beach this week. Citizenship and Immigration Canada said Thursday that it never received an application from Abdullah Kurdi, the father of 3-year-old Aylan Kurdi, whose body found on a Turkish beach Wednesday has sparked international backlash. Canadian officials say they did receive an application for Abdullah’s brother, Mohammed, but said it was returned because it was incomplete and didn’t meet regulatory requirements for proof of refugee status recognition. Aylan Kurdi’s Canada-based aunt also confirmed she had not yet submitted an application to sponsor the boy’s immediate family.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

This is good news (Not for the refugees sadly) but it's good to hear that Canada hasn't abandoned these people. I was pretty disheartened to hear that Canada had rejected these people when I heard this story a few days ago. As sad as the fact that they weren't accepted, it's good to hear that they have another chance.
