A prestigious US military academy that follows a pillow fight tradition marking the end of its summer training left about at least 30 soldiers hurt and unconscious after being hit by pillows that were said to be filled in with hard objects, thought of as being helmets. Cadets faced different injuries including one with a broken leg and another with dislocated shoulders.
The West Point Academy insisted that none of the cadets faced any serious injuries and that all cadets were back on their duties.
The event is celebrated every year in the academy as being a harmless action intended towards blowing off the gruesome summer training steam, however this year the steam seemed to have been packed in real tight leaving its aftermath in face of injured cadets.

I was about to make a joke on the matter but then I read that the pillows were filled with hard objects. Military camps just keep getting tougher.

The topic does sound funny at the thought, however i wonder how those hard objects got inside those pillows. Aren't military camps suppose to be closely guarded vicinities. No one gets in except cadets and instructors I suppose!

This is a pretty funny story in a weird kind of way. I wonder if they ever found out who put the helmets into the pillowcases. It would probably have to be one of the cadets, and if that person was found did they get punished at all, or is bootcamp just that hardcore that it doesn't matter? Still a pretty funny news story.
