President Obama welcomed Pope Francis to the White House on Wednesday with an elaborate ceremony in front of more than 15,000 people on the South Lawn. The leader of the Catholic Church was escorted to a stage, where he and Obama listened to a Marine band play both the pontifical anthem and “The Star-Spangled Banner.†According to The New York Times, “an arrival ceremony on the South Lawn ranks among the most regal of pageantries that Washington has to offer, reserved usually for the most important of visitors and even then for special occasions.â€

Two of the most influencing men on earth. The leader of one of the most powerful country on earth and the leader of 1.2 billion Catholics in the world. I wonder what they will discuss.
