Mars: Come over
NASA: I can't. You are 330 million km away.
Mars: I am wet!
NASA: Hold on. I am coming over.
For those who don't get the joke, NASA recently discovered water on Mars.

All this hype about finding water on Mars! No doubt the discovery is great and finding any form of life on another planet would definitely be the find of the millennia, however this is not happening anywhere soon. There are international treaties that bound, even NASA, to enter into space and conduct experiments as this infects the space environment with microbes, which is strictly prohibited.
Although there is no saying of whether this has not already been done, however as exciting as it may sound, finding water on Mars is not that interesting after all!

I reckon that scientists may be thinking of moving people to the planet as it may seem like a good idea to move to Mars, but would need to think about how we will be able to have oxygen. So the first thing that needs to be decided is making it less hostile to human life, and hope that we can live there one day and this search for water can be interesting and there could be water over there. I hope this search does not get too costly otherwise the money spent can, be wasted and the people who spent it will feel stressed out due to this.
