The chicken has come home to roost. When the Russian metro jet was bombed Charlie hedbo mocked the tragedy in cartoon  calling it free speech. Why Don't you now mocked these bombings ?. No sympathies here

I woke this morning deeply disturbed by the news from #Paris , but more amazed by the attention it received on social media. I understand Paris is a beloved and familiar space for a lot of people, but it troubled me that #Beirut , a city my father grew up in, had received so little attention after the horrific bombings two days earlier.

It also troubled me that #Baghdad , a place I have absolutely no connection with, received even less attention after the senseless bombing that took place there last week.

Worst of all, I found the understanding of the refugee crisis skewed and simplistic. If you've been following the journeys of the people leaving their homes around the world right now, perhaps you'll understand why the words #SyrianRefugeeCrisis are just as devastating as #PrayForParis .

It's time to pray for humanity.

there you go......you hit the nail on its head this time. without any exaggeration at all, without excessive or ' over the top' doom and gloom..indeed the most simple of observation of the world currently yields the simple fact, right up front, that humanity is in serious trouble, facing an abyss.

Oil and money, oil and money.

The West have now stopped arming/supplying ISIS and are now tentatively accepting Assad as the leader of Syria. They're also now working with Russia and Iran to stop ISIS. Hypocritically, the West also remains in alliance with the Saudis, UAE and Qatar, who have pledged to take down Assad, Shi'ites, and by extension, Russia, and who continute to support ISIS. Why do the Saudis want this? The Saudis and Qatar need their pipes to run north through Iraq and Syria to get to Europe. If they can get this, they cut Russia off from European oil markets.

The UAE, Saudis and Qatar have already threatened Britain and France with the loss of lucrative infrastructure and arms deals if they don't play ball. But trying to defeat ISIS while relying on the Gulf States as allies is like relying on arsonists to put out a fire. It is their backing of Al Qaida affiliated jihadi groups against Assad that has allowed ISIS to endure and defy US and French air strikes to this day.

Ironically, it is the "badies" - Russian military intervention and air strikes, along with a ground-push by Assad - that changed things and has helped push back ISIS. This "progress" could lead to the Gulf States ratcheting up their support to Sunni jihadists. These are the very jihadists we armed and promised to turn Iraq over to, knowing full well that we intended to turn Iraq over to a Shia majority government with the specific aim of instigating a civil war.

I can see all this crap leading to the Gulf States covertly backing ISIS in Chechnya and Dagestan. Turkey could also scale up its own war against the PKK militias in northern Syria and south east Turkey whilst ISIS carries out more suicide bombings across the border.

The longer these proxy wars go on the greater the prospect that refugees would become targets for radicalization in the camps of Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey.

I blame Bush, Tony Blair, and every oil hungry Western leader who sucked up to and armed the Saudis. I bet you could stop most terrorism in the region by simply mailing Bush and Blair to ISIS. Let them vent some steam by kicking their asses.
