"At COP 21, parties to the UNFCCC adopt an agreement aimed at limiting the rise in global temperatures to 2 °C (3.6 °F) above pre-industrial levels."
They gonna sign it and put a lot of money to this

I think that anything done to prevent catastrophic consequences of global warming is good for mankind...

I thought that conspiracy theorists say that UN and every big organization is also the big bad wolf.

It's about time that they finally got an agreement going with a majority of the world's countries including all of the major powers. Though given that global warming is being capped at the 2 degree mark with an optimistic goal post of 1.5 degrees, I'm not exactly as confident about the safety of island nations and cities with large coastal populations. An additional 0.7-1.2 degrees (given that we're now at 0.8 degrees increase) which is what the agreement is mandating, will still cause a lot of damage to those countries.

The rise in the water levels will be remedied along the coasts. People can build walls, move inland etc..however more importantly is the disruption of the weather patters, the impact to farming, and the resulting prices for foodstuff...and the health and safety impact from extreme weather.
