Capitalism is Antisocial......?

The caller misunderstands Libertarianism.

At any rate, anything that doesn't have checks and balances, and that is driven to an extreme, is not good.

all the labels create comprehension problems..even great real problems too.  the commentators may be better served to put things into this light:

on any day we are still here in existence there is a total social reality and potential/base of knowledge out of which the future comes..based on all that has gone before..produced by society up to that point.  what is it is the question, what are the opportunities based in this and how can we solve the problems we face based in this..on this.

it is all we have..all we know and can do.  those are the conditions of existence and what we have produced to date.

examination and understanding of this has produced what we call socialism.  it is the crisis of the day and the demand that we face that produces a solution based on all of this..not on any abstraction but what we can really do based on the problems.  we have to answer the problems with the means tools and resources we have

ok you have corporate control that has produced heavy concentration of wealth, high uneployment, falling standards of living save for a few...and looming application of the technological we have achieved to production that will wipe away even more jobs...by the millions.

what to do?

we need to apply the technology because if we do not we cannot consume it preparing the way for more advance.  but to destroy the jobs what happens to the people ::confused::

capitalism can solve that in only one way...Kill off the what they now call surplus people.  that means all who have worked to build up this stage are now useless and must be repaid with elimination...death..by the people who actually did not contribute to the development, to the achievement..the capitalist!

what can the people do instead to save their lives and the society we know and are part of ::confused::

take over society and at once change the way we do business, eliminating not the capitalist but the capitalist system.  the people do that by taking over production and applying the technology full technology, eliminating the drudgery jobs by the millions.  but if the people are in charge of society then we all no longer have to bother about the capitalist profit and his social control that forces us to borrow and pay interest on our own money to him for nothing at all...then take that money to bribe our governments and turn them into weapons against the people.

that system dies with popular control..such popular control can employ all who work still on the quantity of work remaining and pay them even more for the production done by automation is cheap and endless..ad there is no capitalist to pay huge sums of interest and all manner of dividends on which they pay no taxes.

then there would be even more surpluses that can be directed to all areas of society now ignored for its full development...health for all the people, education, housing, agriculture, transportation,...greening of production and energy etc..the development of which areas would lead to endless employment..for more people who are now available for work.

systematically the purpose of work changes from the accumulation of wealth for the capitalist to the survival of society..which indeed is the point of our existence...the survival and development of human society and whatever that turns out to mean ultimately.

what happens is that the working classes/ordinary folk do not take over society for remain a working class, and ordinary but to transform their existence into a develop class..the only social class there must be..no elites, no poor just developed humanity in a systematic social organization now referred to as SOCIALISM.

when we put the label to it it looks like a system abstract and arbitrarily worked out to be imposed on the people.  that is wrong totally.  it comes out of existence as the obvious solution to the existential social problems we face, carried out by the people for the people..and can be carried out only by the people, for it is in their interest to do so..not by the capitalist in whose interest it is to do the opposite
