Former Pittsburgh Steelers star receiver Antwaan Randle El says that if he could go back in time, he would not have taken up a career in professional football. The 36-year-old retiree revealed to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that “I have to come down sideways sometimes, depending on the day," because of the neurological damage suffered from years of taking hits on the field. "If I could go back, I wouldn’t [have played]," he said. “I would play baseball." Randle El is best known for being the only receiver to throw a touchdown pass in a Super Bowl.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

Huh, I never really knew about the effects of football. It's a pity, he had suffered from the effects before he was able to know and get away from it. I think more players should be warned about the dangers of playing football. Aside from the injuries, you can also have neurological damage. I wish him luck in his life and hope he manages to live it normally.

Sometimes the pro-level of sport resembles... yes, prostitution. There are many players who do not enjoy the game as they used to back in their heyday. However, they still continue their careers no matter what. Because it's the only thing they can actually do for a living. So, they sell their health out simply for a show.
However, it's still tons of times better than 9-to-5 life with no ambition and aspirations.

He should have played cricket. At 36 he would have been a superstar without any neuro damage. I mean is it really worth it?

I was just going to say that he should have played Cricket, or at the very least something like golf. Neurological damage that severe to where you can't even lay down normally? That's not worth the money they pay in the NFL at that point.
