Is this something that is official now? I know that he has been deciding for the last couple of months or since he won the Super Bowl, and I think that we all know that he did plan on retiring after this year, so I cannot say that I a surprised. I would love to be in his shoes, though. Retiring with a lifetime of easy money ahead of him...sounds pretty good to me.

Yeah, its official. Anyways, its a good decision, especially considering that they tried to mock him for his age multiple times recently. He deserves better.

Predictably, Peyton Manning just delivered the perfect tearful retirement speech, thanking all the right people, finishing with Bible verse.

Peyton Manning: "I'll even miss the
Patriots
fans in Foxboro. And they should miss me, because they sure did get a lot of wins off of me."

oh well he is gone. I liked him as a player with the colts of Indiana. he could really play quarterback..was really really good but wasn't so clutch..his only drawback.
I suspect that Elway will go get Robert Griffin 3 as a free agent. Griffin will prolly lead the Broncos to another win next year

Well I am sure that nobody is really all that surprised at the announcement, and I am glad to see that he was able to go out on top. He truly was one of the greatest ever to play the game, and he was a classy man with a great work ethic, and that is who you want representing your league in my opinion. I am sure he will continue to be a relevant name in the game of Football and we will be hearing from him for a while now, which is great.
