A 15-year-old girl has been raped and set on fire on the rooftop terrace of her family’s home in a village outside Delhi, police said. She was hospitalized in critical condition, with burns over 95 percent of her body, local newspapers reported. Police arrested a 20-year-old who had burns on his hands. He was charged with attempted murder, assault of a minor, and grievous injury. The girl told police she was raped, beaten, and then set on fire by a man who had been stalking her for months, Singh said.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

these men need to be educated fairly quickly on human and social interaction.
the stories that come out of these countries are appalling this day and age.
education is something so valuable....without it - your a crippled nation.

Oh my goodness... The offender has the nerve to rape her and then set her on fire? Just how evil can he be! I cannot imagine the pain she is in now. I hope she survives this horrible incident and be able to get well despite the 95% burns in her body. It's a good thing the suspect was caught though. I hope he rots in jail, that's not even enough punishment for him.

It seems that in India there is an alarming obsession with the raping of women. People are raped all over the world but in India it seems that has become somewhat normal activity to a significant amount of the male populace. Another serious concern is the level of harm otherwise from the forced sex act this is usually inflicted on the women, which would seem to suggest that these men possess a great amount of hatred for the women. It's full time that the Government institute some really drastic measures to minimize these occurrences.

Except that I've encountered Indian citizens online who say that the so-called "obsession with rape" supposedly rampant in India is a media fabrication. I, for one, am inclined to believe that assertion, since any stories involving the victimization of women attract huge press.
If you think my views are a bit callous, know that I am very cautious about much of what I read in the news, as I know that their job is to SELL me a narrative. I lament the suffering that this woman endured, and the perpetrator should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. But I hesitate to jump on the "India is a Hot-Bed of Rape" bandwagon.
