Al Sharpton: I'm Leaving If Trump Becomes President

Rev. Al Sharpton that he might leave the country if Donald Trump is elected President.

Sharpton made the comment during a Feb. 25 event at the Center for American Progress Action Fund.

"If Donald Trump is the nominee ... I'm also reserving my ticket to get out of here if he wins," he said, according to the Huffington Post. "Only because he’d probably have me deported anyhow,."

Sharpton has yet to endorse a candidate for President but said people's outrage over Hillary Clinton's comments about minorities in the 1990s is valid.

"I think that people have the right to raise that because it’s an issue that’s disturbing," he said.

The issue was raised on Feb. 24, when two Black Lives Matter activists interrupted a private Clinton fundraiser. One of the activists then asked Clinton about a comment she made while her husband was President, in which she reportedly called Black people "super predators."

"But I think it is something she has to deal with as many times as it’s raised, as we raised it," Sharpton said. "It’s a legitimate question."
