we don't plan to go gamble or prostitute ourselves!! ;D ;D ;D
but I understand from many folks who have gone many times that there's a lot more to do there than those to haram activities!!!

Everything is relative in terms that it really depends who are you talking to. What is expensive for somebody may be pocket change for somebody else. Nevertheless, I think Vegas was always expensive. I have no idea why would it be more expensive now. It doesn’t make much sense to me. Maybe it is about the cost of gasoline or something. Oil market and stuff.

I have always wondered how my dad's brother managed to afford a big house in Vegas.

a co-worker went in late March and he paid USD500 for a week - flight and hotel.
I believe they stayed at the MGM Grand
I have to ask him who he booked with.

Could have been ConAir. Didn't they make a film about that airline where the passengers were delivered directly at the hotel?

I haven't been to Vegas so I don't know... Maybe due to taxes? Lol. From where I am, casinos are fairly expensive. Only businessmen, politicians, basically rich people can get in. Plus, you also need to be a member if you want to enter high-class casinos. And membership fees are quite high, I doubt that a middle class man can earn enough for paying that. Then you would spend your money on the casino, which again, can make you lose money. Unless you know how to count cards or something.
