About a week ago, a 6.8 magnitude earthquake rocked parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan and India, killing 2 in Pakistan. Yesterday, another 6.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Myanmar, parts of India, and various other Indo-Chinese countries. Today, a 6.2 Magnitude Earthquake in Japan caused 19 houses to collapse, with people still inside them. Japanese houses are made to withstand earthquakes. Its like the Earth is reminding everyone its still the boss.

I don't know how did I miss this happening. It is terrible thing of course and I feel lucky I live in a place where these quakes and other natural disasters are rare. I hope this trend doesn't continue. It is a big number and it is still nothing in comparison to 2011, Japan when it was around 9 I think. I cannot imagine how that looked like.

It is so sad, that these earthquakes are so frequent these days, and so often the world knows nothing about it.
Somehow accidents in the east are not well-discussed in the media.

Nowadays, earhquakes are not more often than previous centuries. The thing is, that all the advances in measurement devices and other tech allow us to register tremor better than before and make predictions.

It's sad but inevitable, Japan is in line for a number of large earthquakes and it is expected that a huge earthquake will one day hit Tokyo. Japan has actually been fortunate up until now with the strength of the earthquakes it has experienced.

I hope not many people got hurt in these recent earthquakes. It is very tragic to see all these unfortunate events occurring and not receiving any coverage in the media. If one of those earthquakes happened in more popular western countries, we wouldn't hear the end of it >
