Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta orchestrated the burning of almost 105 tons of elephant ivory and 1.35 tons of rhino horn. Twelve 10-foot high by 12-foot wide bonfires destroyed $172 million of possible profit from illegal poaching. This makes a strong stance of Kenya’s fight against the wipe out of elephant, rhinos, and other animals.
What other measures have been created or tried to stop these crimes?

Not sure how much of a difference it will make, it seems like those rhino horns and elephant ivory could have been used for other things more symbolic than to burn them?
