Bob Dole, the 1996 Republican nominee, endorsed Donald Trump on Friday after former nominees Mitt Romney, George H.W. Bush and George Bush did not. "The voters of our country have turned out in record numbers to support Mr. Trump. It is important that their votes be honored and it is time that we support the party's presumptive nominee, Donald J. Trump," Dole said in a statement released by Trump's campaign. "I plan to attend the RNC convention in Cleveland to show my support for our party and our ticket, as I have done my entire life. We must unite as a party to defeat Hillary Clinton."

I would endorse Trump too if my political career was over and needed some sympathy from someone with a lot of money.

Well leave it to Bob Dole to be complete irrelevant for thirty years and then come out of the woodworks and make some news.  I am not really going to read much into it though, and I cannot really say that I know anything about Bob Dole's politics anymore so it does not even mean that much to me.  I wonder if it will end up having an impact.

I've heard so many republics being vexxed by the presumptive victory of D. Trump, that I've reason to believe this statement by Bob Dole will have the exact opposite effect to the party's dedicated voting public.
All these campaign mistakes that were done by all the nominees seem to alienate the average logical-thinking republican.
