Kobe Bryant to train Shaquille O’Neal’s son, Shareef

Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal are teaming up again — sort of.

Shaq’s son, Shareef O’Neal, is a 6-9 prospect set to graduate from high school in 2018. And in an attempt to hone his guard skills, Shareef will train with Bryant this summer.
“I’m going to start training with Kobe soon, probably during the summer,” Sharif told TMZ, adding Bryant started a conversation about the possibility during the All-Star break in Toronto.

Now the four-star forward and his father can trade Black Mamba stories. But the younger O'Neal is taking this seriously.

“If we play, I’m definitely going to try to win,” he said. “I’m not going light on him.”

Talk about having all the advantages. First Shareef gets the size and post skills from his father, and now he’s training with Bryant to become a better player away from the basket. As long as Shareef's free-throw training is coming from Bryant, this kid is seriously set up to succeed.

Oh, the irony of it all. Kobe and Shaq weren't the best of friends and now Kobe will be trying to make Shaq's son a better basketballer?

I recall listening to some podcast last year that attempted to prove Shaq and Kobe weren't enemies. Yeah, right. Same way Tyson and Evander Holyfield weren't enemies? Once you retire the stupid feuds end but with this one feud it's the kid who will end it.
