I was looking at the race this morning and I now have an hour or so to look at it again.

I don't know about Exaggerator or Cherry win....

there is a fly in the ointment called wat again..where is the dam form...ahhh! Gettysburg full of speed.  he fades a whole lot and he can be expected to fade again today.  but by his pedigree he is not supposed to fade. yet he has done so most of his few races so far.

but he is very fast early and he has been put there to assist Exaggerator by setting a very fast pace.  the planners hope that early speed will compromise Destin and Stradivari.

but never mind Exaggerator/Cherry Wine.  there are at least 2 closers in there who may upset all other considerations.  and they are Governor Malibu and Brodys cause..especially Brodys Cause who is classier than Governor Malibu.

some consideration must also be given to Lani who is prolly most dangerous after 2 races in America and going a mile and a half.  he is bred to be good at such distances.

there is another horse..Forever D'Oro who is full of class and merits a close look.  D'Oro is also one of 3 horses with wins and experience at Belmont  race track.

I have not picked a winner yet and prolly do so only after the post parade.  but I am not looking at exaggerator nor Cherry Wine, nor SBN for the win.  if I pick a closer it will be Brodys Cause...then Governor Malibu who is more suited for the exotics

I am more inclined towards Destin and Stradivari..and the outsider Forever D'Oro for exotics.  but I got to see the Post Parade first

Creator narrowly beat out Destin for the win, as close as can be.

Destin was considered an early front-runner and chased Gettysburg

for most of the race before taking the lead down the stretch !

The top three was Creator, Destin and Lani ...

am I good or wat.  I tossed the odds on faves right out..totally.  piss on Exagg.....he runs the same race all the time and on a dry track at a mile and a half he will never catch up to the good speed..NEVER!

Exagg would have to race from too far back at that D.  and by the time the stretch arrived he would be toast anyway with too much to do..to far to run, faster than he has ever run final quarters.  that is what my handicapping led to.

by my calculation Exagg had no chance at all in the race..no part of the super..1,2,3 or four..not even part of the first five

it also led to Destin and Lani but not to the winner. I had an exactor with Lani Destin and Governor Malibu.  I also had Destin to win/place big time.  the place money saved my win bet but I lost the exactor of course with the creator win.

I loved Stradivari but I figured that Gettysburg  would waste him out.

but had I given myself some more time I prolly would have found Creator.

anyhow cant win them all
