Doubles vendor robbed of $18,000

WHILE preparing doubles for sale in his Tableland home, a vendor and his family were confronted by thieves who robbed them of $18,000 on Sunday.
The attack happened at Robert Village at around 3.30 a.m.
Police said that the 29 year old doubles vendor was at his home, along with a male relative and two female relatives in the kitchen preparing the popular street food.
Three men with masks and armed with guns entered through a door and announced a hold-up.
The four relatives were tied up, their house ransacked and their cash stolen.
Police said that the thieves ran off with the loot.
A report was made to the Tableland Police Station and PC Cummings is investigating.
