3-Year-Old Twins Found Dead in Hot Pickup Truck

Police in Louisiana have launched an investigation after two children died Tuesday in a hot pickup truck. The 3-year-old twins, a boy and a girl, were found in a vehicle outside their home. The mother had reportedly enlisted the help of neighbors to search for the children before they were discovered and found to be unresponsive. She said she had fallen asleep inside the home only to wake up and discover the children missing and the door left open. Police are now trying to determine how the children got into the vehicle, but a spokesman said investigators don’t believe the mother simply left them in the hot vehicle. No charges have been filed yet.
