Firefighters at London's Southbank rescued 19 people stuck on a broken down fairground ride.
Ten hanging capsules on the ride were stuck about 20 metres in the air with 19 adults and children on board.
London Fire Brigade was called to the scene shortly before 6pm.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

We have another confirmation, then. Riding on fairground rides is not wise or safe. Ha ha. This is exactly the kind of thing that stops me. I do not like the thought of being trapped!!!
Still, it is lucky that it was some kind of jam up rather than something breaking. People have been known to be seriously injured and die when amusement rides malfunction and parts fall.
Good on London fire brigade.

You see, stories like this are the number one reason you will never find me on the Ferris Wheel or any of those other rides. Everyone tells me these things are safe and nothing ever happens, well, here it happened... Thank goodness no one was hurt, but they must all have been so terrified, especially the kids. It's enough to put someone off those rides for the rest of their lives.
