Police say a 52-year-old Tillsonburg, Ont., man has died after being struck by lightning.
OPP say Dave Johnson was mowing his lawn on Sunday afternoon when he was struck as a violent storm hit the area.
Police say emergency personnel attempted to revive him.
Johnson was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Oh, god, it is confirmed: doing garden work is bad for your health. ::dead::
Seriously, though ... How does that happen? if you're cutting your grass, how would you not see a storm coming? I suppose it could come on suddenly, but you would still think you would hear the thunder or see the clouds. Huh.

Lol... Gardening is bad for your health... But do you know that lightning can strike anytime anywhere and without notice. There doesn't even need to be any clouds or thunder for it to happen. The conditions that create electricity just have to be right. Maybe that's what happened to the poor old man...
Then again, maybe he was just too old and he was deaf and blind....
