The TV audience for Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards dropped by a third
to 6.5 million, compared to 9.8 million last year,
The Emmy Awards in September 2015 was watched by a record low of 11.9 million people
And the 2016 Academy Awards pulled in its smallest audience in eight years,
Around 34.3 million Americans watched the Oscars ceremony - a near record low.

Well that is a good point made by the user to go see about the sports, and now I am curious what that would reveal. That is where my numbers go, though, and personally I am glad to see a drop in the numbers of the award shows. It is self-righteous just by nature, and I never liked them nor thought these people deserve this much attention or credit to begin with. Just my opinion, though. Thanks for sharing.

Well dude, I personally think that's because people are not watching TV nowadays, the internet has somehow taken over the TV and anything related to it. I've not turned on my TV since the last year, I'm being honest.

Well, folks like you Casiox will cause us to Lose $$ sponsors of these things.
Its all TV ratings NOT internet streams....
It's no wonder we could not get TV coverage last weekend for Cricket in Fla.

Ppl dont look at awards shows like before because its a joke.
i stopped a long time ago and todays youth seem not to care about an artist the way we used to.
and the artists today are now really terrible....
like that one song "panda" wtf is that song about for the love of god?
