The model was unveiled at Legoland Dubai on Tuesday in the presence of Yousif Al Obaidli, the director general of the real mosque, ahead of the Eid holidays next week. Courtesy Dubai Parks and Resorts

That is awesome.  I have always had a love for Lego and used to play with them all the time as a kid, so this is like a dream come true in a sense for me.  Of course it is not the same as actually seeing it, and I know that I have seen some others in the past, but it is still pretty cool.  I like when you can add a cultural element to it all too.  Good stuff, and thanks for sharing.

i dont understand why these losers would want to build a lego replica of this mosque....wouldnt the effort and money be better spent in helping someone who had nothing?
