The area facing the brunt of the storm has gradually shifted north, with Jacksonville already feeling the heavy rains and winds. A storm surge — as much as 7 to 11 feet in some spots — is a concern on the coast, including in downtown Jacksonville along the St. Johns River.

Thanks Cappo and Mes! That was a dangerous storm. I left town and headed away from the city. Luckily, i had no damage except we were out 2 days without electricity. I am thankful for being spared and others were not so lucky. As of today there are still thousands still without power.
I do appreciate your concern and thank you for it.
