After a grand opening in Kerala, superstar Mohanlal’s latest Malayalam crime thriller, Oppam, is continuing its successful run at the state’s box office.
The Priyadarshan directorial, released on September 8, is all set to become one of the highest grossers for the actor.
According to trade analysts, Oppam is said to have collected a gross amount of Rs. 32.83 crore within 26 days of its theatrical run in the state.
The crime thriller, which also stars Sampath, Baby Meenakshi, Anusree, Nedumudi Venu and Vimala Raman in pivotal roles, is still running with reasonable theatre occupancy in Kerala.
The Mohanlal-starrer made an approximate collection of Rs 1.56 crore on its first day and witnessed a growth of over 13 percent on the second day. The first-week collection of the movie is said to be Rs 12.6 crore.
The collection of Oppam is expected to be affected this week as his own most anticipated action thriller Pulimurugan will be released on October 7.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

Yes, this movie is well received by people all over Kerala. The mind blowing thing about this movie is that Mohan Lal acts as a blind protagonist in this. As per feedbacks received from audience it is quite an engaging film backed by an appealing plot and thrilling moments. This movie exhibits the depth of the real skill sets this wonderful actor possesses. He is a natural actor and acting comes within from him. His transition to this blind character was really smooth and quite original. I surely recommend this amazing thriller to everybody if you love suspense, good acting and unexpected twists.
Theaters in our area were really flooded during the initial days and it was difficult to get a ticket. Online booking was almost full. Now there is change in the situation but it still runs houseful in most of the theaters.
