it is too steep a price for Ibaka. he better play when he arrives.
no matter the pressure I would not have paid that price. I would have waited. Miami was the competition for Ibaka but they have started to lose again.
and once that takes place they are likely to return to what Miami are a low level team in need of rebuilding.
in which case they would not go for Ibaka ultimately. and as the season goes on Ibaka would start to weigh on Orlando and they would give him away for nothing.
that was a risk worth taking rather than pay that high price

The Raptors, who were in Chicago on Tuesday to play the Bulls
have lost 10 of their last 14 games and dropped from second to fifth
in the East.
A 102-101 loss to Detroit on Sunday prompted all-star guard Kyle Lowry
to say "something has to change."
"Watched you grow from a young ROOK, to a young vet!! Keep growing T!
Love you man!! #toughbusiness," Lowry said.

deh tell mih dat the fus' round pik is no great shakes...
the Raps have 2 first round piks and deh get the second, lower pick.
its time the Raps drafted a star. the last star they drafted was Bosh. we need another star pick

the trade is really looking good today...24 hours later. all TO really paid was Ross..a good role player.
and there is a function in the NBA I don't understand called 'Bird Rights' that appears to give TO a leg up on signing Ibaka for next season.
Looks like Masai pulled off another good trade here..on paper. I hope it works.
but it turns out that the original mistake was to let Biyombo go. the Raps shud have spent the money to keep him. the teams defense has fallen off a cliff without him.
keeping Biyombo wud have given us a player who was already playing lights out for the Raptors, who was part of the team..fit the team. now we have to wait and see if Ibaka fits and will play hard for TO.

now deh talking trading Jonas V for Brook Lopez and pick. Ibaka of course makes Jonas V expendable.
deh will prolly raise Poetl or Siakam to take Jonas V's place
but Jonas fits the Raps. I dont have any sens that Brook Lopez wud.
Brook is older and set in his ways. it could get dicey trying to fit both Lopez and Ibaka into the team at the same time. these 2 are not kids but tough set in their ways veterans
but if I traded Jonas for Brook and a pick..what kind of pick would it be. at least a second rounder I imagine.
in that case I would immediately Trade Brook to another teams for a pick..a first rounder. i would not keep him in Toronto
