this horse produced a 117 Beyer mark in his third and last career race..the highest mark by a 3 year old this year so far.  that is an incredible mark and suggest this horse has major talent.  yet from hid pedigree I dont know.  maybe he has inherited from one of the standout horses in his lineage

in is linage then those horses would be Touch Gold from the Deputy Minister, Vice Regent Northern Dancer line.  Touch Gold is a Belmont Stakes winner -1997

One Liner's sire Into Mischief is a decent young sire who has produced 3 millionaire winners who were all on the Kentucky derby trail but did not make it through..not good enough.  the best of these was Goldencents who won 3million +.  there were also Vyjack and Vicar's in Trouble

Into Mischief himself won almost six hundred grand

One Liners race with the huge Beyer was the Southwest Stakes at Oaklawn Park in Arkansas..which is the fastest race on the KD train this year at a mile and 1/16  if I use an ability time calculation it works out to 24 and 1/5

but the KD is a mile and a 1/4 and Into Mischief's colts have never demonstrated an inclination to go that far with any kind of class.  but apart from Touch Gold who won at a mile and 1/2...there are also in the pedigree Halo, Hail to Reason, Icecapade, Ribot, Sea-Bird, Tom Fool far back into the line but by atavism can be effectual in the pedigree to produce an offspring that can run very long

but we will get a better idea on Saturday for the Florida derby is at a mile and 1/8.  we will see hos One Liner does at that distance, to gage if he can go another 1/8 of a mile to get the KD distance

what there is most pronounced in One Liner's pedigree is a grass influence.

the key is to watch for when his connections put on grass for the first time.  if he goes at good odds he can be bet with confidence that his class and green influence will see him win big time..first off

once that is accomplished he will likely be always at low odds whenever he is put on turf after that fist race.  the best time to get him at good odds on grass is likely the first time he races on that surface

Battalion Runner in the Florida derby is the half brother of the great one ARROGATE!  They share the same sire UNBRIDLEDS SONG, from the great Mr Prospector pedigree line of Fappiano into Unbridled.

Battalion Runner also has another great current pedigree line through his grandsire Tapit whose influence clear shows up in BR's [Battalion Runner] dam Tamboz.

the Tapit influence appears in the cross with Tamboz, that has produced BR appears to be dominant.    the rest of BR's female line were basically very ordinary producers of quality race horses
