the saddest part of this story is that parents/relatives knowinly gave the girls those names
commendable efforts on activits who are trying to bring about changes.....especially in attitudes about female babies in india.

Krish...societies the world over discriminate against women. And the fact that these girls can regain their dignity via a renaming ceremony is wonderful. More to the progressive organizations in the new, progressive India. Thankfully.
