Horse Racing at Woobine is Now the Pits

Today in the feature race there were 6 horses among which was a 1 to 9 favorite.  woodbine took out place and show wagers so you could bet only to win

at the same time there  was a race at Del Mar in which there were only 5 horses because 3 scratched out.  there was a big favorite in that race too but still win place and show for the punters.  some people made some easy money but so what.  the track makes money all the time.  the tracks money is assured.. I don't understand why they have to take out those bets

the track cuts all the pools to get its own.  why on earth do they take out those bets when there is a big fave.  the tract is not in a position to loose at all.  should not be in a position to loose.  but taking out those bets reduces the punters chances of winning some money

this year I planned to really bet Woodbine but its turned out to be an awful year for me at woodbine.  woodbine must run the most lousy races in the world..bad horses, bad jockeys and pool cutting as above.  I have had enough.  the american tracks are way better than woodbine.

and its the same way or worse with the harness racing.  there are about 15 jockeys or drives that drive all the races in the harness.  who are they ::confused::

Waples, Jamison, Fillion, Roy, Henry, Saftic, Hudon, McNair, James McDonald, Paul MacDonnel, Drury, Cullen, christoforou, Zeron...14 regulars.

any given night they dominate the races with a few from a bunch of irregulars sprinkled in.  these do whatever the hell the like with the races.  I found it impossible to tell when they would try to win a race no matter the horses they drove. 

Filion is one of the top drivers at Mohawk.  I bet him with confidence when I saw he had good horses.  then I started to lose with him regardless of the horse.  I was puzzled.  I lost.  I stopped betting him..betting altogether and just watched the races.  Filion went on to lose straight for about 2 and a half weeks.  then he began to win again at times with improbable horses.

I saw the same with all the drivers.  most of the races they did whatever they wanted to do it seems.  form was irrelevant.  forget the racing form.  it came down to knowing which  drivers would try  to win any given race..and that for me proved impossible.

I got pisses at the Harness racing.  its a drivers game and no one cares...certainly not Woodbine.  so it makes no sense to bet at all unless you wait patiently till you understand a race see it clearly, know who they will let win that race and bet that horse.  but you have to take your time to understand the games that are being played by the drivers to have a chance at winning

its better to play the american tracks.  Canadian tracks are too hard by the way Woodbine runs it, eliminating chances to win by the punters as they go, while allowing a mes to develop in the actual racing in both Harness and thoroughbred types of racing.

I am down with both

wud you know it Lotto has been skroaked too.  they take out all the prize money and made chances more expensive and prizes exceedingly hard to win

the prizes are now skin flint..barely nothing except the first prize

and the sports pools are worse.  there is almost no way to win now.  betting on NFL football for example is like gifting your money to the Lotto corporation every week

its something about Canada man.  they have only contempt for gambling/punters.  they think you deserve to lose if you punt and so make it hard to win and directly steal your money in the way it is set up.

they think you are a sinner if you bet but do not see  that they are stealing the peoples money as sinful.  but it is.  talk about your hypocrite nation...I shud say province Ontario..Calvinist to its core
