Chartered by the rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd
a Convair CV-240 ran out of fuel and crashed in Gillsburg, Mississippi
near the end of its flight from Greenville, South Carolina, to Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
on October 20, 1977 !
killing six people, including lead singer Ronnie Van Zant
and siblings guitarist Steve Gaine
and vocalist Cassie Gaines.
