the removal of Skam will not change the situation. he will be replaced by another bureaucrat/bureaucratic system remains in place.
bureaucracy is a consequence of capitalism..of parasitic exploitative society. that is what we have to deal with.
and relative to that question..what is the west indies like currently..how do the youth now stop..what is their focus..in plural?
what are their chances..have the regional economy expanded, grown to make improve their chances as compared to our own day....? how do they feel about cricket?
I see skamerons sell out T20 drawing crowds and so far realizing millions for the various territories..at least that appears to be one 'good' aspect of developments since 1995..
who as anything like a relatively current update?

the west indies is an exploited dysfunctional space..but I say opportunity is growing to free ourselves and begin a process of reconstruction..or more accurately a construction.
the construction such as it was, was a euro exploitation by spain, the english and french.and to a lesser extent the dutch. they dropped whites/negros and indos into the region for exploitation purposes and such organization as there was has been strictly for that purpose..exploitation from then to NOW. independence meant nutten at all towards the positive development of the region
therefore the job of making a real nation out of the disparate contents of the region based on the horrors of our history..genocide, piracy, slavery and indenture, colonialism..we are to build a nation that works, makes all the west indian people safe..ALL, evolving, developing as we should.
big job that be we know now. we have endless brains and lots of trained people..even if by western education we have been poorly educated. but a literate person is easier to change, to redirect than an illiterate one..if the overall direction of the society changes into a nationalism for and by the people..
if no such reform then no one is easily changed literate or illiterate.
to me a key is to understand the region its needs and cater to the emergent positive movements and the people who are involved. that should do the trick in an expansionary manner. as the truth takes hold and drives the essential social reforms there would be expansionary use of the publication that as part of the process all along, from the start
smarts necesssry, risk involved. but risk is part of existence..integral and unavoidable
