anyway..at this stage in their evolution I don't think the Chinese see the way of empire, at lest in all the old ways makes any sense at all. we have the total way humanity has evolved since we became conscious of ourselves and all the lesson therein. and the major lesson is not to control people or try to

learning the lessons of time and human civilizations the Chinese and Russians are on a different trend altogether. what they are saying is what they are doing. the Chinese have the means to, and are making good deals for mutual benefit with everyone who have good deals to make.

but whatever the Chinese inten, those with whom they make deals must approach the deals from their own fundamental interest, to be honest to that interest. that in the spirit of sane compromise should produce mutually beneficial effects for the Chinese and the dealing, negotiating party

if the west indies, Guyana etc go out to make the best deals for the region I don't see how the region would lose , making deals with the Chinese for regional infrastructure development

all the noise about the Chinese taking over is crackpot american propaganda, seeking to maintain western control of the caribbean. about construction for eg. I Guyana decides to build a concrete highway and rail system from George town to Lethem who is going to build transportation corridors..Guyanans, Trickys, Bajans, Yardys..all together?

they cant. such transportation is needed for the expansion and development of Guyana but no west indian nation or collection of them can finance and build such projects.

not to mention that they are all controlled from washington and washington prevents them from making even basic health programs for the west indian people, from building decent schools for them... far less putting in good, truthful historical studies to make them sane

but China would, if its feasible finance and build such projects in the west indies and teach them how to d it, how to extend it, and to maintain it, building thy need to themselves, developing the skills and schools themselves... in the process of building them..just like they have done in Africa
