Pride parade takes to Toronto's streets

The marquee event of Toronto's Pride weekend is set to take over downtown streets Sunday afternoon — and you can watch the festivities live right here starting at 2 p.m. ET.

CBCNews.ca is streaming the parade, and it will also stream on CBC Toronto's Facebook page.

Thousands of people are expected to watch the parade, which is among the biggest Pride events in North America. More than 200 groups are participating, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mayor John Tory.

But the typically fun and celebratory parade will take place under a blanket of extra security following an altercation at a Pride event in nearby Hamilton last weekend.
