Climate change could affect the Caribbean 2/28/2012 By Amanda Nieves The Caribbean Small Island Developing States (SIDS) are particularly vulnerable to the negative effects of climate change.
This is why it is so important that the Caribbean has a voice in the international climate change talks and negotiations, largely because the Cari...

Some people swear to their god(s) that climate change is a big farce just like the coming of the messiah.

it is a farce..from al the goracles' point of view.  he is jess a flim flam who devise a way to profit hugely at fooly peoples expense.

the climate dat may dat seems to be coming is ice in we skin...cold...another ice minimum.

I suspect that will be the case.  and if it is, it will affect the caribbean terribly.  an' dis is how:

the white man coming for his place in the sun and he go kick we arse into the caribean sea to join we ancestors.

it shud remain warm in the lattitudes close to the equator.  dat will be the new eurpe...the whole middle section of the planet.

look out! ::eek::  dat is what new ice will bring....a  whole new age of settler take over and mass murder

how?

I dont unnerstan'?

I agree with yu...global warming is a farce.

but I have been noticing certain thing over lets say the past 15 years..then reading certain scientific papers that on investigation appear plausible.

it has led me to believe that if any great weather change is coming anytime soon, it is likely to be a cold spell, not a warm one.

that wud be unfotunate.  I was rather looking forward to global warming for it if does occur it would be no catsatrophe, but a boom for humanity.

one point right here!  there have been ice ages in the history of this planet that has been in existence now for billions of years.

if melting ice causes flooding and major related problems, wouldnt the world have been inundated from those previous melts, one as recent as 20 thousand years ago, tied to the evolution of whites from blac in europe?

where did the water go..what happens to the water when snow melts from this winter now here...and this has been and is a very bad winter in most of the nothern world?

the last ice age, or the most recent major one was terrific, mile high ice all the way to lattitude 40 north or some such.  if such melts did not subsume the land in the world, and all mamal and reptile life that could not swim or adapt to water, why wud the piddlin ice now in the world cause oceans to rise if it melted?

it seems to me that the world, the globe and all in and of it is a balance, and however weather turns, it remains such and nutten like Al gore and dem say makes any damm sense..especially when man getting rich from carbon paper sales.

it seems to me that plasma science and the plasma physiscists are right about the world...certainly more rght than Hawkin and the 'Bangists'

the sun is no fusion bulb, burning from the inside out.  the inside of the sun can be seen through supspots and what is observed is no internal fusion but a colder centre of solid material.

also the centre of the sun, around the sun, its surface,  is cooler than its outer atmostphere by zillions of degrees kelvin.  how in the hell can that be if the sun is powered by nuclear fusion?

but if the universe is electrical, wired electircally, what they have measured is that the sun is as a capicitor, an object that those who know electricity can explain.

I cant but what I do understand of it seems absolutely logical.

the sun is a receptor  and distributor of electrical enegry from a universal source outside our galaxy and is unknown.

the sun goes through its own phases and obviously when the ice ages occur the sun is in some sort of dormant phase.

well while all the cold is taking place on earth sun activity has been measured as less than at previous times.

it is clear we do not know the suns cycles..may not have even asked that question and proposed answers.

if we really understood the sun we would have an idea of its cycles if there are any, and have an idea of what we may be in for over some period of time.

so based on what i have seen so far, and the weather as I have know it for some 15 years, is getting colder while sun activity has been getting less active.

this is the third or fourth severe winter in a row in the northern world. and the scientists now admit that far from warming there has been no increase in temps for a long time.  and in fact there may even have been decrease in temps over the last 15 years.

but I can feel that on my body.  no one has to tell me that things are cooler and in no way warming up.

so i shud have said it like this;  I BELIEVE, THAT IF ANY SIGNIFICANT WEATHER CHANGE IS ABOUT TO OCCUR, IT WILL BE A CHANGE TO COOLER CONDITIONS NOT WARMER...AND THAT IS NOT GOING TO BE A GOOD CHANGE FOR HUMAN BEINGS

I suppose the increasing flooding in Guyana after a couple hours of rain is because the people are too lazy to clean their drains, despite the fact that every year Robert Persaud used to inform the people that he has set aside millions of dollars to take care of the drainage and irrigation problems yet every year is a repeat of the previous year.

Perhaps the most perplexing aspect of AT&T Stadium, otherwise known as “Jerry World,” is the glare from the sun that bursts through the windows and shines directly onto the field. Time and time again the glare has impacted players’ visibility during games, yet Jerry Jones refuses to make any changes to account for the sun.

Rather than install curtains, Jones has previously said he feels it’s a home-field advantage to have that type of stadium factor impacting games. Well, the glare ended up benefitting the Chiefs early into Thursday’s Thanksgiving game, as a pass from Dak Prescott to George Pickens fell incomplete, at least in part due to the impact of the sun’s glare.

SerenaThis batting performance by the West Indies in the second innings blew me away. I kept closing my eyes and then rubbing and opening them again and sat transfixed as I watch that unbelievable partnership between John Campbell and Shai Hope. What a magnificent performance by these two! It just goes to show that patience, determination and effort can go a long way to improve the performances of the West Indies team. Let us hope that this effort by West Indies batsmen would not be a one-off performance, but will be the beginning of a renewed effort to improve the performances of the team, going forward.(13.10.2025, 09:28)(09:28)0

"As a competitor, you want to be the starter. But I prepare to be the starter, I know I'm a starter in this league.
