Ever since I was a teen I loved hoodies I used to wear them all the time and had a hoodie for pretty much any occasion. As I’ve got older my collection has slowly decreased and I only tend to wear them now when I’m lounging at home. But it got me thinking this week that hoodies seem to be a wardrobe staple for many people in that it’s pretty much what they always wear. While some hoodies can look terrible, with some clever layering they can be used for some creative outfits.

are we really discussing whether hoodies are appropriate?

a hooded sweatshirt is functional piece of clothing with a purpose.

It's winter, Trayvon Martin was dressed the way everyone (well, almost everyone) is dressed in Winter. 


He was a lil scrawny cutefaced black teenager.  His killer was a burly ugly looking white racist ....


How was Trayvon in his hoodie threatening to his killer. 


And last night on the news I hear about some other police chief saying that anyone who wears a hoodie in his town can join Trayvon Martin.  If that is not stereoptyping, tell me what is?

i did not know there was this sentiment out there about hoodies.

could it be a ny thing? any winter or chilly day, a large portion (white to black, old to young) of the population will be wearing a hoodie either by itself or as layer.
