the people of California, New York/New Jersey/Connecticut and  Washington, are all sorrounded by rich hinterlands.  California may have water problems but without the dollar that can be solvedmuch easier than with dollars.  and with less dollars and smaller, efficient industry/agriculture,  there will be much less demand for water, than the wasteful production that goes on currently


at all levels people  can organise and make deals with each other to produce and distribute the means of survival, and all get paid by local forms of payment they devise on their own that would have value in need


that is what the masses of ordinary people have always done in times of general crises.  this is no different indeed better for the level of available technology is much greater than ever before.  and in the hands of the people it can be fully applied to make maximum production at minimum costs in time and labour, freeing up the people to live and learn and improve for the on-going project of human survival we are engaged in

I say within the next 6 months to 3 years.  but the elites are always searching for ways to prolong the situation.

I think six months would be more likely than 3 years, simply because I don't think the Powers that be can keep the house of cards from falling that long. In truth, everything will probably keep limping along until after or just shortly before the US elections in November. Where not to be when the dollar falls...anywhere with people, especially in the US for they will not take the news well. After the initial crash though perhaps a new and better system will be developed. What was so bad with the barter and trade economy of past generations? People seem to forget that not everyone can be a millionaire. You must have people to cook the food, and carry off the trash but no one wants to do that everyone wants to be at the top.

in america and canada the problems of a crash can be severe for ordinary people due t the sub-urbanised nature of development and the crucial nature of public transportation.  sub-urban means the need for individual cars, which would become hard or impossible to maintain


in Russia after the crash most the government did 2 things..stop collecting rents and made the public transportation free.  that could happen because the people were fully urban..lived in the cities and could use he subways and buses around.  the needed no cars.


and the people rallied in cooperation to get through


remember Leeli, the nature of the day.  the single most destabilizing social factor is technological advance.  that is the all basic factor always.  it is either an established system/social class can fully consume the existing level of technology or it cant.  if it cant then it is useless. old and inefficient and must make way for the class that can do it.


lets assume that a reform government wins in america, ends out-sourcing and stimulates the american economy to provide jobs for the people.  thats impossible in a capitalistic investment sense for with profit as the motive existing technology will be used.  if so then you can have factories save they are state of the art.


it makes no sense to build a factory to employ 5 thousand... when that same factory built at what is possible today can only employ fifty people, if that many


state of the art factories require very few workers.  the work is mainly robots.  what are you going to do with the people?


and that is the case in every are of work.  to use the levels of the day means little work no matter how much money is invested.  we are at a stage at which there is financial and ownership concentration..monopoly..is complete...and with a high level of technology that cannot be employed to put people to work.  therefore stimulating the economy is a waste of time.  yet the stage must be consumed to clear the decks for more..as more and more technology is essential to meet the real need of humanity..surviving indefinetly in an evolutionary universe.


a real paradox eh..totally incapable of solution from a capitalist point of view.


what the status quo has decided to do is to reduce the worlds population to solve the 'problem'..which really is to save their own class domination, wealth and power.  so they have embarked on a genocide to beat all genocides.  the have attacked the worlds population by war, by poisoning the food and water, but rigging the medicines produced by big pharma, rigged the delivery of medical services to produce death by rigging the education of doctors. 


even the fabric for clothes and furniture are now increasingly manufactured in toxic ways  to encourage human ill-health. 


consumers must look carefully at every product now..especially new ones..in effort to make sure they will not be poisoned in some way by it.


the only way humanity can go forward now is to eliminate the capitalist, put the stage of the day in the hands of the people to be organised in the interest of all. its like the dollar collapses, the government falls and the people take over and organises everything in their locals ro meet general need.


in such circumstances the stage of the technology is put to use fully, owned and operating in the interest of the people.  the people share the work, increasing technique as they go and pay everybody.


in the case of the ownership by the people there is no need to fear the few jobs that would come from implementation of technology..for the profit can be had with full and and proper distribution for the development of the community


the solution is a new form of ownership of society.  it cant work with the few owning everything.  but it can work with ownership of society shared by all
