Indo girl, nice, somewhere between 35-40..at a shop I go to once or twice a month.  she start show interest, looking at me.  I show same thing..I am interested.  but I wait..I have to be sure.  I walk in buy my stuff, our eyes meet, but I watch and wait.


I tell mih padnah 'I like dat gyurl yuh know.' he  goes to that same store too.  he is from titty...he is Indo.  we have been friends for 40 years..through thick and thin.


so ok..I am sure she likes me, gave me enuff evidence.  so one saturday  I make my move, I start talking to her and she pulls right back.  she answers not unfriendly but hardly encouraging.  she pulls back after all the interest she had previously displayed.


so say to myself wat the hell is this here?  I complete my business and left.  wat do I do now.  this is a very convenient store and I have to keep going there for what I need.  but do I keep it up?  what is she up to?  why did she show such a face, pull back,  after so much encouragement?


now I cyar go foward.  she is indo and I afro..not the easiest of relationships between ethnic groups.  all it takes is one call to the cops and I am in trouble for 'harrassment' deh call it..persistence when it is obvious your advances are not welcome.


there is nutten I can do!  I have to stop immediately. 


in any case she is not 20 years old.  she is a grown woman and I am a grown man.  we wont live forever so if she is playing coy at her age that made no sense.


if she interested no time to waste.  we connect and discover if there is anything worthwhile and off we go if there is.


so I stop pushing.  next time I am there and afterwards I of course am showing no interest as I am done with it. and her face got angrier every successive time I came to the store afterwards.  and I had no clue if I moved again if she would pull back again or connect.


about a month ago she apparently left the job.  relief


she seemed to be playing coy, pulling back so I would come forward...playing hard to get or something.  but I did not know if that in fact is what she was doing.  any further forward movement exposed me, wud put in danger


what the hell could I have done? she must knowm the situation in canada when it comes to black men and women and the laws that exist that could trip up any man at all..far less a black man.  things have to be up front or I am not involved. 


but she had to have known all that.  she lives here in canada.


and i still did not know whether she liked me or not,despite all the indications she gave that she did.


allyuh see all ah dat deh.  thats a lot isnt it..for absolutely nutten.  most times I do not have a clue what women are up to.  so I let it roll until things get really clear..if it reaches that point at all.  but I aint getting involved until it is so clear.
