CARACAS - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has slammed US State Secretary Hillary Clinton for threatening China and Russia over their friendly ties with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and standing in the way to oust him.
Chavez said the US was trying to impose its will on the world and was trying to clear its way to invade Syria and also Iran over Tehran's suspected military nuclear programme.
"We saw overt threats to Russia and China," Chavez said, referring to Clinton's remarks last week at the Friends of Syria meeting in Paris where he asked the participants to direct their pressure on China and Russia so that they end their support to Assad.
Chavez said Clinton told the Paris meeting that "they (China and Russia) will have to pay a high price if they do not do what other countries demand".
"Do you understand? Obviously, this is the downright madness of those who consider themselves as rulers of the world," Chavez told reporters in Venezuelan capital, according to Spanish EFE news agency.
The Venezuelan leader, known for his anti-US stance, asked Clinton to rather devote her time to solving the problems confronting Americans.
"They are enough problems that the American people, the American nation faces. She should devote her time to solve the problems of her country."
He said the US authorities "want to do in Syria what they did in Libya".
"Foreign military killed thousands in Libya to kill (Muammar) Gaddafi And now they want to do the same in Syria and threaten Iran," he said.
He said Cuban Leader Fidel Castro had warned, "there is a serious threat of nuclear war".
The US and Venezuela have had souring ties particularly after the Chavez took over in 1999.
In fact, Venezuela alleged that a failed coup attempt in 2002 to oust Chavez was supported by then US president George Bush.
Venezuela broke off diplomatic ties with the US in September 2008 in solidarity with Bolivia after a American ambassador was accused of cooperating with violent anti-government groups in that country.
The relations were re-established under President Barack Obama in June 2009.
But the bitterness in the ties remains. On September 10, 2009, Chavez gave a speech at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia in Moscow declaring that the US was "the greatest terrorist in world history",
"Yankee Empire will fall. It's already falling, and will disappear from the face of the Earth, and it's going to happen in this century," he said.
In December last year, Chavez called Obama "a clown, embarrassment, shame to Black People" after the US president criticized Venezuela's ties with Iran and Cuba.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

well of course! Right on Hugo! that is exactly what Obama is: A parody, a figure of extreme shame for black people, a black man diametrically opposed ideologically to the major flow and trend of blac life in the new world from the start.
Obama for all practical purposes is a Jew....by any stretch of definition, simply is an Isrealite.
Obama is the first american president under whom the Jews have literally taken over america and instituted policies honed on the Palestinians, on americans, in america itself.
there is not the slightest seperation between Obama and Jewish interests. 99.9% of his cabinet is Jewish. every significant appointmenet Obama makes is of Jewish people.
Obama has worked with Jewish interests to desroy whatever black political power existed in america.
Obama conspired with Rahm Emmanuel, his Jewish chief of staff, to destroy congressional black power. by the time they were done every congressional chairmanship and control black people had worked decades to develop in the ameircan congress, had been taken over by jewish congress-people...through the destruction of long-standing blac leaders like Charles Rangel and John Conyers
Obama and Emmanuel both destroyed the first blac governor of the state of New York, David Paterson... to install AIRPAC patsy lil Mario Cuomo, the son of the father as governor.
Obama is a patsy, a lap dog, a running dog, a stoolie and rat pidgeon, a fearful fool, totally controlled by Tel Aviv...a man in total destruct mode of his own people as president, in the favour of our enemies.
as far as america is concerned Obama is a traitor in plain sight who has sold out america to forrin interests.
Obama is a weakling, a sap, a total abomination as human being, politician, as everything.
words fail me to express my contempt for this man who at this time in the world is supreme danger to the continued existence of humanity, by his total subservience to the evil in the world.
Chavez is right..absolutely...save he has not sounded the warning loudly enough.
Hillary Clinton is just as bad as Obama..or even worse...she is stone cold crazy! but we have come to expect that from such as she.
lucky for the american people they have begun to sense the utter dangerous, pointlessness from their perspective, of an Obama presidency, the rotten manchurian candidate he is, an imposition on the american flow.
I do not believe Obama can win another election in america unless he steals it..or pulls of a coup under jewish guidance. it would have to be with their permission and support. he is not allowed to do anything on his own. that is quite clear!
Obama is one term. we will soon see the back of him shud he not blow the world to bits by now and january 2013.
mitt romney cannot possibly be as disastrous for blac people as Obama is right now...or can he?.
Black people better not rally and vote Obama back into power. that would be even more disastrous for us
they shud check out Ron Paul and Romney in that order. in this coming election the evil you know is likely worse than the possibilities you you dont.
take a chance. there is literally nutten to lose!
