you can start out by pressure-cooking the cow heel just so it starts to get tender, then add the other meats and slow cook (no more pressure cooking) ....
but the pepperpot tastes much better slow cooked, these days i use the slow cooking pot ....
yummmmmm, i have to go look for some aniseed bread ..
