Best Answer
Our Nation Sport
is Lacrosse.
Ice Hockey was introduced in 1994 as our winter National Sport.
Actually the above answer is incorrect !
Cricket was so popular in Canada during the time of Confederation (1867)
that the first Prime Minister John A Macdonald anounced :
Cricket as Canada's national sport. ::four::
Later on it became less popular and was disregarded, in it's place we saw baseball, lacrosse and finally hockey take over.
Cricket was never denounced as the national sport, only ignored.
