At its height, 50 firefighters, including backup crews called form Pearson international Airport, battled the blaze at 98 Walker Drive, near Airport Road and Highway 407. In addition to fighting the flames, they doused water on chemical drums to keep them from catching fire.
The building houses a company called Empack, which produces "30 million cans of aerosol annually," the Brampton Fire Department said on its Twitter account. “According to Empack's website, the company has on-site liquid and gel products and keeps large amounts of chemical product on site.
