WASHINGTON—They are as potent a pair of wings as the Raptors have had in years, and the relationship between DeMar DeRozan and Rudy Gay is getting better with each passing game.
The two were at it again here Tuesday night, playing off each other and devouring the single-team coverage one of them always got as the Raptors won their fifth straight, 96-88 over the Washington Wizards to open the unofficial second half of the NBA season.
DeRozan had 24 points and Gay 24 as well, including a clutch three-pointer that put Toronto up 12 with just over two minutes left as the Raptors equalled their season high of five straight wins.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
