Embriolled in my own thoughts, I completely glossed over the terrible fact that Hugo Chavez has succumbed to his illness and died at the tender age of 58.
I declare today a day of mourning.
First Arafat,
Mubarak,
Gaddafi
and now Chavez.
Syria and Iran better beware.

A sad day indeed. He was one of the very few world leaders to stand up against the U.S. The "El Diablo" speech at the UN was one of the best ever. But aside from the humour at the beginning of that speech he made a very important point which got glossed over by the so-called media. He stated that America was one of the most wasteful country he's ever been to and had ever seen. On his way to the UN from his hotel he observed that he was stuck in traffic surrounded by thousands of cars in Manhattan almost all of them with only 1 occupant.

A teary-eyed Bolivian President Evo Morales, one of Chavez's closest allies and most loyal disciples, declared that "Chavez is more alive than ever."
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
