PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC) –Trinidad was rocked by an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 early Saturday morning, but there were no reports of damage or injury.
The Seismic Research Centre of the University of the West Indies (UWI) said that the quake which occurred at 3.21 am (local time), was located at 10.94 degrees north and 62.02 degrees west and was situated north of the Paria Peninsular.
The Unit said that the quake was felt in various parts of the country. It was also felt in neighbouring Grenada.
On March 4, Trinidad was rattled by an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.1. It was the second within a three-day period. The first had a magnitude of 4.9.

All these news stories about earthquakes are frightening me. I live on the west coast, so any news related to earthquake usually get my attention. I hope the people in Trinidad are okay. All these news reports are like reminders for me to prepare for the "big one". We are expecting a major earthquake to hit the west coast (North America). Sorry, do not mean to take any attention away from your thread.
