* I saw Shiv(on TV) play his very first test innings---he made 62 at Bourda back in March 1994.

* I recall saying to myself----this little boy can bat----Shiv was only 19 back then.

* Shiv has exceeded all my expectations----I never would have guessed Shiv would one day reach 11,000 test runs.

* Shiv got out(LBW) not playing a shot to a nothing ball---it was a stupid decision by Shiv to shoulder arms----the Shivster left a hundred at the wicket.
