I dont care who captains WI cricket... as long as it's not him. He never deserved a place in the side and was given the captaincy in all 3 formats for THREE years without any care for his form or results. What a joke!

He used WI cricket and his Sugar Daddies SKunte and Hilarious made him captain and DESTROYED the career of Sarwan, Shiv (ODI) and pushed Gayle aside. Three world class player for one useless Dottie...oh the injustice!!!

He made millions in IPL BECAUSE of the Cappoship of WI cricket.

Sammy was a good captain and  they should be ashamed to terminate him so unceremoniously .

I agree with you on Sammy being gifted the captaincy but he cannot be blamed for the treatment of those 3.


Yes he may have been complicit as he went along with the decision of the management team but that cannot be down to him. Besides Sars did come back under his tenure and failed.


The thing is anyone who thinks Sammy was either a good test captain and merited his place in that team or even the ODI team is severely deluded.

Could someone explain what's with the Sammy hate? I mean I'm no fan, and he should be rightly kicked out of test team and even the ODI team, possibly. I don't know what's with these personal attacks though, what's he done to deserve that? It's the selectors/board that decide the captain, not Sammy himself, is in't it?

I think you know the answer to that.

Sammy was made WI captain because he is St Lucian and Hunte and Hilaire are St Lucian.

But in making him captain Hilaire (nasty fellow) decided he needed to denigrate the likes of Chanderpaul, Gayle etc etc. In other words get rid of anyone who could remotely be seen as a challenge to Sammy.

Sammy aint stupid - you see he retire because he damn well knows that he cannot make the test team on merit.

He also should not be on the 50 over team.

His IPL team won for the 2nd game in a row after :

he was DROPPED for Moises Henriques.

Of course the mantra is go with your winning XI.

Look for a sudden injury to Sammy as he heads back to St.Lucia !
